The Minister of Health, Rodolfo Rocabado, said that everything is ready to develop the Vaccination Campaign against rabies this August 25 and 26 in the departments of Cochabamba and Beni.
“This Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 we will carry out the rabies vaccination in Trinidad and Cochabamba so we hope to maintain or surpass the coverage achieved last weekend,” said Rocabado.
The authority reported that according to the latest reports from the Ministry of Health coverage of vaccination against rabies to date reached 85%, hoping to exceed that goal with the activity to develop this coming weekend.
He explained that for the department of Cochabamba 700,000 doses were allocated and for Beni 100,000.
It is expected that on the first day the vaccination posts will be fixed at several points in both cities and on the second day mobile brigades will be deployed to achieve the proposed objectives.
At the national level, the Ministry of Health ordered 3,289,199 rabies vaccines with an investment of 7 million Bolivians.
