The 69-year-old country icon is trying to help her long time friend and attorney get a kidney and she has turned to YouTube and online fundraising organization, Public Good to achieve this objective.
Dolly Parton says in her video plea, “I want to take the time to acknowledge the FloodSisters Kidney Foundation of America. Now these great people are working really hard to help find a kidney transplant donor for a very special friend of mine, Jerry Edelstein.
“Jerry and I have been friends for several decades now and he’s one of the finest people in the whole world.”
Parton says her holiday wish is for a suitable donor for Edelstein. She is not.

Edelstein has been seeking a kidney for several years and if he is unable to find a donor in early 2016, his time is short.
