The H1N1 influenza, or swine flu has been taking a harsh toll on India this season as more than 13,600 cases have been reported nationwide resulting in 812 deaths, according to the Indian the Health Ministry.

The states of Gujarat and Rajasthan have been hit the hardest resulting in 207 and 212 deaths, respectively.

This year’s outbreak of the H1N1 virus, which causes swine flu, is the deadliest in India since 2010.
