Kerala state Health Minister Veena George said that seven more people who had been in isolation at Kozhikode Medical College have been confirmed to have no Nipah virus.

The sample was tested in a lab set up at Kozhikode Medical College. With this, 68 total people in isolation have tested negative.

The three-kilometer boundary zone of the child’s home where Nipah was first confirmed has been contained, the health minister notes.

The survey was conducted on homes in the entire ward in the area. No unnatural death or fever was found.
