Kirk Cameron DOES NOT have leprosy

Two articles have been published in recent days on the website, America’s Last Line of Defense, which made claims that Christian actor and filmmaker, Kirk Cameron had leprosy, prompting questions to the validity.

The first article states that Cameron has a mutated form of leprosy ( leprosis metapupalis carnivore) that is so rare, less than one in 600 million people will ever encounter someone who has it.

This strain essentially turns its victim into a walking pile of dead skin, rotting flesh, and festering organs while keeping the brain functioning at primal levels and the heart pumping just enough to send diseased blood to the marrow and muscles to allow the person to be mobile.

What exactly is leprosis metapupalis carnivore? There is no such thing.

The second piece went on to announced his death from the disease despite help from Joel Osteen.

Of course, none of this is to be believed and the website is crystal clear that it’s business is satire:

In a cynical world where the news of the day often seems fake, The Last Line of Defense offers today’s busy conservative a place to go to read things they’ll enjoy and congregate with a bunch of people they agree with. So while everything on this site is a satirical work of fiction, we are proud to present it to those who will have called it real anyway.

To sum it up…Kirk Cameron is alive and well and did not contract a mutant form of leprosy. The articles were merely swipes at his Christianity in an attempt at humor. This is the definition of Fake News.
