Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body. It affects some 1.5 million Americans and more than 16,000 new cases of lupus are reported annually across the country.

May is Lupus Awareness Month and President and CEO of the Florida Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America, Amy Yalden joined me on Sunday’s show to discuss the basics on lupus to include symptoms, diagnosis and treatment and to talk about Lupus Awareness Month and the work of the Florida Chapter.
