The Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology has opened up an investigation and blood samples have been sent to Nagasaki University in Japan for Zika analysis.

Local media reports (computer translated) that Zika testing was performed on the mother in a Vietnam lab, which revealed she was Zika positive.

In addition, examination by experts say the microcephaly looks like Zika is the cause, the report states.
