Novel coronavirus epidemic situation

The Chinese government reported recently (computer translated) that as of Jan. 23, the National Health and Health Commission has received a total of 830 confirmed cases of pneumonia of new coronavirus infection in 29 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), including 177 severe cases and 25 deaths, including 24 cases in Hubei Province 1 case in Hebei Province.

US State Department Travel Advisory

The US Department of State released a China Travel Advisory Thursday where they raised the advisory level to 4–Do not travel to Hubei province, China due to novel coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, China.

On January 23, 2020, the Department of State ordered the departure of all non-emergency U.S. personnel and their family members. The U.S. government has limited ability to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens in Hubei province.

Japan reports 2nd 2019-NoCv case

The Japanese Ministry of Health reported (computer translated)  a second novel coronavirus case on Jan. 24. The patient, a 40-year-old male, was a traveler living in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.

Shanghai Disney closes

The Shanghai Disney Resort reported in response to the prevention and control of the disease outbreak and in order to ensure the health and safety of our guests and Cast, Shanghai Disney Resort is temporarily closing Shanghai Disneyland, Disneytown including Walt Disney Grand Theatre and Wishing Star Park, starting January 25, 2020.

More cases reported in Singapore

The Singapore Ministry of Health confirmed two more imported cases of novel coronavirus infection. This is the 2nd and 3rd imported case in Singapore.
