He mentioned that the deceased person was from the district of Tocumen, a 65-year-old woman with problems of hypertension and other comorbidities, she presented symptoms of high fever, abdominal pain and severe dengue, who presented late to seek medical attention, so her condition worsened.

The report also details that the townships with the most cases are the townships of Tocumen, Bella Vista, Betania and San Francisco, and added that to date no cases of Zika or Chikungunya have been reported in the Health region.

Cedeño, who is an epidemiologist, recommends that the population, in the face of any symptoms, not self-medicate and seek timely care, to avoid fatal outcomes.
