In this primer on intestinal nematodes, I look briefly at the life cycles, symptoms and pathology and diagnosis of the common parasites in this group–Enterobius vermicularis, Trichuris trichiura, Ascaris lumbricoides, hookworms and Strongyloides stercoralis.
