The City of Philadelphia announced Friday that all union-represented City of Philadelphia employees and City contractors must complete their COVID-19 vaccine series by January 14, 2022.

All full-time City employees who have completed their full schedule of COVID-19 vaccination and provided proof of their vaccination status by December 24, 2021, will receive a bonus of $300.
The City has already implemented vaccine mandates for new employees, institutes of higher education and healthcare workers, and exempt and non-represented civil service employees. As a result of the residents of Philadelphia doing their part to get vaccinated and these mandates, nearly 75% of adults in Philadelphia are fully vaccinated.
Employees and contractors with valid exemptions must submit their request by December 20, 2021 to ensure it can be reviewed by the deadline. Those who are granted exemptions must wear two masks or an N95 and submit to regular testing.
