The Directorate-General for Health (DGS) in Portugal reported 2,118 new cases of covid-19, including 11 deaths on Tuesday, bringing the country totals to 1,006,588 cases and 17,584 deaths, respectively.

The DGS bulletin reveals that 744 patients are hospitalized , 24 fewer than Monday. In intensive care there are 144 patients, 10 less.
The Lisbon and Vale do Tejo area, with 727 new cases and the North region, with 775, have 70.9% of the total of new infections verified in the last 24 hours.
In the Centro region there were over 265 cases registered, in the Alentejo another 131 cases were reported and in the Algarve region the bulletin reveals that 174 new cases were registered. The Autonomous Region of Madeira registered 43 new cases and the Azores have three new cases.
The deaths occurred in the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo region (4), in the North region (2) in the Center region (2), in the Alentejo (2) and in the Algarve (1).
