We discussed the tick vectors, why Borrelia burgdorferi is so complex, problems with Lyme diagnosis and chronic Lyme.

With 14 imported Zika virus cases reported in Florida and a public health emergency declared, Zika is among the hottest topics in the Sunshine State. During the second half of the show, Zika in Florida was the theme as I was joined by Infectious Disease expert from Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FloridaDr. Cynthia Rivera.

How concerned should Floridians be about Zika, the travel risk to Zika-affected countries and the sexual transmission of the virus were all looked at during the interview.
