The affected pupils, 14 boys and eight girls aged 2 to 6, have presented with vomiting and diarrhoea since November 3. Fifteen pupils sought medical attention and did not require hospitalisation. All the affected persons are now in stable condition.

Investigations are continuing.

Officers of the CHP have conducted a site visit and provided health advice to the staff of the kindergarten concerning proper disinfection, disposal of vomitus, and personal and environmental hygiene. The kindergarten has been put under medical surveillance.

This outbreak follows an outbreak of upper respiratory tract infection (URI) at a kindergarten cum child care centre in Tsing Yi where 20 children were affected.
