The Argentina Ministry of Health has reported (computer translated) eight confirmed measles cases this year with all the cases from the city and province of Buenos Aires.

Nearly all of the cases were reported in young children. the measles strain has been identified as genotype D8 which is the same as that identified in Venezuela and also has been reported in 2018 among confirmed cases in Colombia and Brazil.

All of the cases presented with clinical signs of measles (fever, rash, cough, and conjunctivitis), and all have fully recovered.
