The serotype detected in positive patients is DENV-2, different from the one that circulated in the province during the surveillance period 2020-2021 (DENV-1).
The age of the people is heterogeneous and all presented a favorable clinical outcome, with mild or moderate clinical symptoms.
Common symptoms include:
High fever (39ºC to 40ºC)
Body and joint pain
Pain behind the eyes and skin rashes
During the febrile phase, it is difficult to differentiate dengue from other diseases. Therefore, it is important to consult the health system in case of suspicion.
