The Brazil Ministry of Health recorded 18,912 additional COVID-19 cases and 525 new deaths in the past 24 hours.

The country with the second most cases now has 691,758, including 36,455 deaths.
Health officials also note that the number of recovered patients totals 283,952 patients and another 371,351 are undergoing medical follow-up.
Of the 26 Brazilian states, São Paulo state has seen the most cases and deaths with 143,073 and 9,145, respectively.
Rio de Janeiro state has reported 67,756 COVID-19 cases and 6,707 deaths, second in the country.
Globally, the COVID-19 pandemic passed 7 million cases today, with deaths topping 400,000.
