In Chile, a total of 2,818,147 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 through Friday. 1,706,483 adults over 65 have been inoculated, according to data provided by the Department of Health Statistics and Information.

The Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, highlighted the participation of the elderly in the mass immunization campaign against SARS-CoV-2. “Older adults are an example to follow for the country for their commitment to this historic process,” said the authority.

Along these lines, the Secretary of State made a call to respect the immunization schedule. “It is important that everyone goes to be vaccinated when appropriate, prioritization seeks to protect those who are most vulnerable and most exposed to COVID-19,” emphasized the head of the portfolio.
