The number of COVID-19 cases in Italy increased by nearly 1500 cases and 133 deaths in the past 24 hours, making it the worst outbreak in Europe and second only to China in terms of cases and deaths.
The government in Italy started today with some drastic measures in an attempt to get the outbreak under control, particularly in the north.
This includes a quarantine of some 16 million people, ala Wuhan, China area, in that part of the country and a number of other restrictions.
Is this the best way to handle this epidemic? Let me know in the comments.
