Public Health Wales reported two additional Hepatitis A cases in the Caerphilly area today. Both new cases have an association with pupils in Glyn Gaer school.

One of the new cases is a pupil at Ysgol Rhydywaun, however there is no suggestion that transmission of the virus has occurred within the school. Letters are being given to pupils in the affected year group to remind them of the importance of good hand hygiene and to explain the symptoms of hepatitis A.
The total number of cases in the outbreak is now 11.
