Some promising news from the University of Kansas Hospital concerning the suspect Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) case that was admitted and isolated on Monday was reported recently.

The University of Kansas Hospital reports the first lab results indicate the patient currently in isolation does not have Ebola.
However, until a more confirmatory test from the CDC in Atlanta comes in the next two days, the hospital will keep the patient in isolation as a precaution.
The unnamed patient worked as a medic on a medical boat off the west coast of Africa and hails from Kansas City.
In related news, Dallas, TX nurse, Nina Pham, who contracted EVD while treating Liberian man, Thomas Eric Duncan at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas said today in a statement, “I’m doing well and want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers. I am blessed by the support of family and friends and am blessed to be cared for by the best team of doctors and nurses in the world here at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.”
