Two weeks ago, The Florida Department of Health (DOH-Charlotte) in Charlotte County confirmed a case of an individual infected with Naegleria fowleri, possibly as a result of sinus rinse practices utilizing tap water.
In this report, I look at advice to prevent Naegleria infection and the use of tap water in medical devices like neti pots.
