I began what will be a series of broadcasts focused on parasites that infect humans. The first installment was aired on Sunday, June 19 on the Outbreak News This Week Radio Show.
During the program, I talked about the Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH)–Ascariasis, Trichuriasis and hookworms. I also delved into some other Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) including Lymphatic filariasis, onchocerciasis and schistosomiasis.
I also spent some time on the soon to be eradicated Guinea worm disease.
