As Josephine County Public Health continues its investigation into a cluster of Salmonella illnesses linked to Si Casa Flores, the agency has come out and commented that the outbreak is growing. The Si Casa Flores Salmonella outbreak appears to be growing in number – and locale.

According to Josephine County Public Health Officer David Candelaria, “The outbreak is bigger than Southern Oregon, there are many other cases throughout the state. So this isn’t just isolated to just Southern Oregon.” This comes just a few days after the agency announced, “ the likelihood of containing the outbreak in Josephine County is moderate to high.”
In the interview, the agency indicated that produce may be the root source of the Salmonella illnesses. The agency has not released any outbreak numbers at this time and is still actively seeking those who have recently dined at Si Casa Flores and become sick to complete their survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DJQTN8D
