A number of varicella, or chickenpox lesions on the face of a young child/CDC

Two children have died of chickenpox and three others are taking treatment for it at Nalwar Station Thanda in Kalaburagi district.

Leprosy situation in India

Leprosy, caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium leprae, primarily affects the peripheral nervous system causing skin lesions, numbness, and other deformities. As per the latest data from National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP), a total of 65,147 new leprosy cases were detected during the year 2020-21 in India.

Dengue in Delhi

At least 23 cases of dengue have been reported in the national capital in January this year, according to a civic report released on Monday.

For the January 1-29 period, no cases were recorded in the preceding three years, while four cases were logged in 2017 and six in 2018, according to the report.
