In a follow-up report on the condition of Thai actor, Thrisadee “Por” Sahawong  and his battle with dengue fever, Thai PBS reported today that the popular television actor had his foot amputated Saturday in an attempt to contain a serious infection.

In addition, Por is suffering from blood pressure issues and also was operated on his lungs in an attempt to stop bleeding.

He remains under the care of Ramathibodi hospital in Bangkok for a number of health issues and complications from his bout with serious dengue disease. Hospital officials say that the virus is no longer detectable in his blood.

The 37-year-old actor was first hospitalized two weeks ago with dengue hemorrhagic fever that at one point put him in a coma.

Through Nov. 16, the Thailand Bureau of Epidemiology has reported a total of 111,825 cases from 77 provinces, including 108 deaths. The areas with the highest morbidity include Rayong, Petchburi, Rachaburi, Uthaithani and Prachinburi.
