The rapid increase in the number of illnesses in the last week has been associated with flare-ups in the Volyn, Lviv, Transcarpathian, Chernihiv, and Kyiv oblasts.

This brings the total measles cases in the 2018 outbreak to 11720 people – 4564 adults and 7156 children. In addition, eight fatalities have been reported –six children and two adults.

Regions hit hardest include Ivano-Frankivsk (1985), Transcarpathian (1893), Odessa (1327), Lviv (1293), Chernivtsi (983).

For the first time in the last 7 years, Ukraine has been fully equipped with the necessary vaccines. The vaccine is available in all regions. At present, the remains of vaccines in the regions amounted to 255 thousand doses. If there is no vaccine in a separate medical institution, you should contact the Department / Health Department of the RSA.

Last week, another 800,000 doses of measles, mumps and rubella vaccine purchased from the state budget came to Ukraine. In the near future, vaccines will be sold to the regions.
