Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn announced at the World Health Assembly in Geneva to increase emergency aid in the fight against Ebola.

To further stem the outbreak of the virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Germany will provide another $ 10 million to the World Health Organization ( WHO ).

It is important that the people on the ground be helped quickly and that the disease does not spread further. We do that out of international responsibility. But also for self-protection. Because the epidemic does not stop at borders.

At the World Health Assembly, WHO Director-General Tedros also warned against further spread of the disease.
