The NYC Department of Health has announced a new Legionnaires’ disease outbreak of illnesses linked to a building in the Bronx. Two residents of the 10 Richman Plaza building are confirmed sick.

The NYC DOH is investigating this building, as well as 20 Richman Plaza, to determine if anyone else is sick and if there is a source within the buildings for the illnesses. No one is confirmed sick in the 20 Richman Plaza building at this time.

Details continue to unfold. The NYC DOH has often recommended that anyone who is sick with the symptoms of Legionnaires’ disease seek medical attention from their doctor.
