In a follow-up on the Marburg Virus Disease (MVD) outbreak in Equatorial Guinea on the on the west coast of Central Africa, the Ministerio de Sanidad y Bienestar Social de la República de Guinea Ecuatorial reports today their have been 14 accumulated confirmed MVD cases, including 10 deaths.

Ten people are hospitalized, including two of the confirmed cases.

The 14 confirmed cases have been reported in the following districts: Bata (8), Ebibeyin (3), Evinayon (2) and Nsork (1).

Officials report that 604 people are under contact monitoring as of today.
