In addition, the fatalities were reported from the barangays (villages) of Bolong, Mercedes, Tictapul, Camino Nuevo, Tetuan, Sinunuc, Buenavista and Sta. Catalina.

This has prompted health officials to remind residents today to practice the four “S” strategy against dengue–The four “S” campaign stands for: Search and destroy mosquito-breeding sites; secure Self-protection measures like wearing long pants and long-sleeve shirts and daily use of mosquito repellent; Seek early consultation; and, Support fogging or spraying only in hotspot areas where an increase in cases is registered for two consecutive weeks to prevent an impending outbreak.
