Going to an early medical consultation is essential to prevent complications, especially if there are warning signs:

• Bleeding from the nose or gums, or vomiting blood and blood in the stool.

•  Abdominal pain that may be accompanied by nausea and vomiting.

• Altered state of consciousness . Older adults may notice extreme drowsiness or weakness. They sleep a lot and stop eating and hydrating, while children may report persistent crying, loss of appetite and general weakness.

Dehydration is also another warning sign. It is manifested by dryness of the tongue and mouth. It may present with difficulty drinking fluids and decreased frequency of urination.

To consider

Mosquitoes breed in any disused object or container with water, regardless of size. That is why it is important to discard any disused object that accumulates water.

Those useless objects that cannot be discarded, such as household appliances, tires or others, must be placed indoors or covered in order to prevent them from accumulating water.

Drums or containers with water that will be used must be kept tightly covered.

Keep pools chlorinated and with filters.

Change the water in animal drinking troughs and vases daily, to prevent them from becoming breeding grounds, after cleaning the container with a brush, water and soap. It is equally important to dispose of the water accumulated in pot/planter dishes.

To protect against mosquito bites

It is recommended to use repellent during outdoor activities.

For the interior of homes, use mosquito nets and metal mesh on doors and windows.
