On Sunday’s airing of the Outbreak News This Week Radio Show, my guests talked about newly published research in their respective fields of expertise.
During the first half, Svetlana Popova, PhD, Senior Scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health’s Institute for Mental Health Policy Research in Toronto joined me to discuss a new study published in The Lancet Global Health about Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) and the first-ever estimates of the proportion of women who drink during pregnancy.
In the second half, Howard Ginsberg, PhD, Professor with the Department of Plant Sciences and Entomology at University of Rhode Island joined me to talk about a USGS-led study looking at the differences in geographical distribution of Lyme disease.
The study was published in the journal PLoS One earlier this month.
