In a follow-up on the measles outbreak in South Africa, the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) reports 1,004 confirmed measles cases from October 2022 through May 11, 2023.
A measles outbreak has been declared in all the provinces in South Africa except for the Eastern Cape.
