The age group of 9 – 59 months accounted for 180 (70.9%) of all confirmed cases. No deaths were reported.

Officials also report 908 suspected cases during the month.

In January 2022, 13 LGAs across 8 states recorded an outbreak of measles.

In 2021, Nigeria reported 10,096 confirmed measles cases, including 109 fatalities.

Up to 8,295 (82.2%) of the confirmed cases did not received any dose of measles vaccination (“zero dose”).
