A Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health reported Sunday one case of monkeypox, or mpox has been reported in Pakistan to date. The patient was under treatment at Pimms Hospital and has recovered.
22 samples of suspected cases were sent for testing and all have come out negative.
Federal Minister for National Health Services, Abdul Qadir Patel said, “the government is ensuring all necessary measures to keep people safe from diseases. All our institutions are always ready to deal with all kinds of epidemics and diseases.
“The situation regarding monkeypox is under complete control”.
